Internal Policies

At Marvel, we have in place a host of policies that dictate our day-to-day functioning and help us achieve our goal – to create infrastructure of the highest standards. They govern our actions, our policies and outlook towards work and customer relations.

Quality policy

At Marvel, quality is accorded highest priority to stay competitive and to enable supply of cost effective products and services to the customers. This is reflected in our commitments and actions to our internal and external customers. To achieve this, we seek to create an environment that encourages all our employees and suppliers to prevent defects and strive for excellence.

We are an ISO 9001:2008, certified company. And the certification body performs periodical audits to renew the validity of the certificate. To attain the high standards set therein, we at Marvel have set up a Quality Management System that ensures minimal bureaucracy and documentation, allowing for quicker decision-making and implementation. These principles are successfully integrated into the quality management system by utilizing a site-based management and process approach that includes:

  • Understanding current and future customer needs, meeting all customer requirements and striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Establishing clear leadership to achieve unity of purpose and for a positive work environment that lets Marvel employees grow, perform and achieve he company’s goals by making them their own.
  • Involving all Marvel employees, at all levels, in achieving our quality standards, as they are the essence of our organization.
  • Managing activities and related resources to achieve the desired results.
  • Identifying, understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system, thereby enabling better efficiency and quality standards.
  • Constantly improving performance, making it a permanent objective of Marvel.
  • Taking effective decisions based on analysis of data and information.
  • Creating valuable and mutually beneficial relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Environmental policy

We are an ISO 14001, certified company.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Marvel is committed to the cause of conservation of the environment through:

  • Continually improving environmental performance of our processes and products, ensuring prevention of pollution at each stage.
  • Strictly complying with the applicable environmental legislations and standards.
  • Ensuring effective use of resources in the areas of materials, energy, fuels, oils, paints, chemicals, water, etc.
  • Reducing, reusing and recycling of waste materials.
  • Encouraging the usage of environment-friendly materials and technologies to aid elimination of hazardous materials.
  • Promoting the cause of environmental preservation amongst employees and other stakeholders by inculcating sensitivity to the environmental concerns.

We communicate this policy to all our employees and also make it available to all interested parties and general public.

Safety policy

We are an OHSAS 18001, certified company

As a conscientious corporate citizen, Marvel is committed to the safety and health of its employees and others persons who may be affected by its operation.

To achieve this commitment, it is our policy to:

  • Integrate safety and health measures in all our activities.
  • Comply with all applicable legal and other requirements.
  • Promote safety and health awareness amongst employees, suppliers, contractors and customers.
  • Continually improve the safety performance through precautions besides participation and training of all employees.

We communicate this policy to all our employees and also make it available to all interested parties and general public.

Five Zero policy

To achieve our objectives we expect our employees, suppliers, service providers and subcontractors to adopt and develop practices that are environmentally sound, socially responsible and ethical, based upon the following five principles:

  • Zero accidents: To have in place effective safety and health management systems that ensure zero harm through identification and mitigation of health and safety risks.
  • Zero ethical breaches: To ensure that products and services are sourced and produced under a set of internationally acceptable environmental, social and ethical guidelines and standards.
  • Zero environmental incidents: To have in place appropriate and effective environmental management systems to identify and mitigate risk; to ensure usage of non-polluting/non-toxic materials and substances and secondary materials wherever possible; to minimize embodied impacts by maximizing resource and energy efficiency in the construction and maintenance; to reduce impacts over time.
  • Zero losses: To demonstrate value for money, through collaborative working to correctly allocate risks and maximize the use of materials.
  • Zero defects: To have in place effective quality management systems that identify customer requirements, efficient and effective delivery processes, and minimize waste.
Behavioral policies

Corruption, bribery and unfair anti-competitive actions distort markets and hamper economic, social and democratic development. Marvel does not tolerate such activities.

  • We shall not act contrary to applicable competition laws.
  • We shall not, directly or indirectly, offer or give any undue payment or other consideration to any person or entity for the purpose of inducing such person or entity to act contrary to prescribed duties in order to obtain, retain or direct business or to secure any other improper advantage in the conduct of our business.
